Allison Iraheta Signs Record Deal
|
Posted By: Devon Marshall on June 10, 2009 Allison Iraheta Signs Record Deal Although the American Idol chatter has been dominated by Adam Lambert's recent (and totally obvious, duh!) confession to Rolling Stone, finalist Allison Iraheta has been busy behind teh scenes, quietly sealing a record deal with 19 Recordings/Jive Records. The 17-year-old red-headed Salvadorean songstress, who placed fourth in the competition, at first received very little screen time compared to the more popular contestants of the top 36. But as the competition got fiercer, Iraheta survived eliminations and amazed judges and audiences with her unique raspy vocals—which frequently drew comparisons to Janis Joplin—and her risky but successful song picks. "I think I’m still in shock that this is happening—getting to record my first album and this whole awesome experience is a dream come true!" Iraheta said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. Keep an eye out for the album which is scheduled to drop this fall! If you enjoyed this article, Join Trabajamos.com today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
