Microsoft names Mariana Castro as the new Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Operations for Latin America

Posted By: Maria L Moncada on October 23, 2020 Microsoft announced the appointment of Mariana Castro, as the new Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Operations for Latin America, after Paula Bellizia announced her interest to pursue new personal endeavors. MarianaCastroColor_2015-small-683x1024-1In her new role, Mariana will focus on driving Microsoft’s business strategies and objectives to promote digital transformation and artificial intelligence adoption across the region. She will be working with more than 2,000 employees and 80,000 business partners across the company’s 35 offices in 21 countries. “I am very excited with this opportunity to work with all the countries in the region, supporting our partners and customers to evolve on their digital transformation. We will continue supporting our plans to making the difference on people’s lives in Latin America by providing the most advanced technology solutions and investing in skilling and education”, said Mariana Castro, VP Sales, Marketing & Operations Microsoft Latin America. Mariana has been in Microsoft for more than 20 years. She rejoined the Latin American region in 2018 as the General Manager for Customer Success. In this role, she helped organizations understand the value of their technology, drive adoption, and the best user scenarios aligned to their business outcomes. The executive started her journey as Technical Manager at Microsoft Argentina in 1992. Since then, she has held a variety of roles in Commercial Operations, Sales, and Marketing, as General Manager for Latin New Markets, increasing responsibilities at local, regional, and international levels. Before returning to Latin America, she was the Managing Executive Officer of Marketing and Operations at Microsoft Japan. Mariana has a Bachelor’s degree in Science in Information Technology from the University of Buenos Aires’ School of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the Universidad de Belgrano. She has been recognized with two important Microsoft awards – the Top Subsidiary Achievement Award and the Circle of Excellence President Award.
