Momma Moss and moi Elle hopped in our conference uniform and attached our back cheer sign to join the other attendees of “I MATTER”. We just discovered the event from searching on event brite Saturday afternoon. The cost of entry was FREE..”thank you”! *We gathered to absorb education, inspiration, and insight at Nationwide Children’s Hospital Ann Isaly Wolfe Education Center *Next time ROX has an event will be in March with a focus on Girl Dads Some of the Resources shared: Donatos Pizza (So many yummy pizzas in one place what a treat! They had lots of boxes to recycle, lots) Brown Girls Mentoring (We took a photograph with Faith, a staff member of BGM. The founder was one of our photographers, Jaime) YMCA (They gave of pretty bags to carry our souvenirs and opportunities. They had a game in which you spin the wheel to get a STEM topic, answer questions then win a goodie bag. Our topic: TECHNOLOGY…WHAT IS AN EXAMPLE OF A url? Yay we won!) Attendees wrote what they loved about being a girl or woman on our signage. We also made FRIENDSHIP BEADS and fertility beads for that bling bling representing our love of GIRLHOOD… REMEMBER THOSE?
