Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Associate Director, IT. Thisrole is part of the Enterprise Tools and Service Management team within the Infrastructure and Innovation (IAI) organization. Primary focus will be ensuring our enterprise delivery platform meets customer needs and strategicobjectives. This role reports to the Director, Enterprise Tools and Service Management and works closely with software development teams (users of the platform) as well as tier 1 through tier 3 support groups (internal and external). The role will also partner with SQA and ISRM to ensure alignment with overall BTS strategicobjectivesand imperatives. Develop,executeand manage IT projects within the defined scope supporting multiple business areasacross withdirect product ownership for key IT delivery technologies including Jira, Confluence, andadditionaltechnologies. Expedite,manageand coordinate a multitude of interrelated IT delivery projects within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure successful delivery. Additionally, the role will conduct research to understand andvalidatechallenges users face across the tool chain and within their delivery processes toidentifyopportunities to reduce time,effortand costs. The results of this research will drive a product vision and roadmap that prioritizes the development of these features. Tracking and reporting value derived from these features will also be a direct responsibility. Responsibilities: Product Management Excellence: - Leadthe strategic vision and execution of the enterprise delivery platform, ensuring alignment with businessobjectivesand stakeholder needs.
- Driveproduct roadmap planning, backlog refinement, and prioritization to deliver maximum value. Align the future roadmap with enterprise delivery priorities and enable the DevOps/delivery platform to automate and simplify delivery processes.
- Actas a change advocate, resolving issues and ensuring alignment with strategicobjectives.
- Ensureapplication delivery teams across the organization are set up for success as theyutilizethe platform.
- Share new ways of working (WoW) and ways of thinking (WoT) across the enterprise.
- Establishandmonitorkey metrics that support scaling and further enablement of the enterprise delivery platform.
Initiate and Plan IT Projects: Works with Strategic Business and Executive IT management toestablishproject goals and businesscase. Helps set strategic ITdirection. Cross-functional Collaboration: - Collaborateclosely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, compliance/SQA and other stakeholders, tofacilitatetransparency, alignment, and collaboration.
- Obtain regular user feedbackregardingthe platform and tools. Govern requested features and capability within overall backlog tied to long range plans.
- Responsible for customer satisfaction and improvement opportunities.
Project Control: Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks willaffectprojectsworking with division or senior/executive management andsponsorto gain agreement for resolution. Measure performance toensuretheproject is progressing as compared to original plan and budget.Communicate project progress byleveragingstandard delivery tools and processtoprovide project status and decision support information to Project Team, Division, Cross Division and Executive management. Makerecommendations based on current project status to resolve issues.
Resource and Team Management: Coordinate resources to ensure program and business needs are addressed through proactive priority management with business leaders. Manages, motivates andmentorcross-functional and enterprise project teams.
Quality Management: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 9 years experience; Master's Degree with 8 years experience; PhD with 4 years experience.
- Minimum 5 years ofdemonstratedexperience in IT Product Management, SDLC, and enterprise application operations including Agile, DevOps, and Product models.
- 3+ years with technical team and people managementresponsibilities.
- Experience with Atlassian tools,pluginsand integrations.
- Ability to communicate problems in terms that are understandable to Senior Management and stakeholders across all levels.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire change at all levels of the organization.
