Lecturer, Master of Arts in Strategic Communication


Position Summary:

The Master of Arts in Strategic Communication program at Rollins College, a comprehensive liberal arts college, seeks a graduate lecturer to start August 2026 who can build on existing curricular strengths of program faculty. Program faculty teach a range of graduate courses focused on data-driven, theory-informed strategic campaigns using both digital and traditional media. We are interested in candidates who have demonstrated ability to teach advanced level courses, with graduate teaching and hybrid/online instruction experience preferred. While the successful candidate's primary teaching responsibility will be to the graduate program, the position may also include teaching undergraduate courses for the Department of Communication. The teaching load is eight courses annually with the possibility of summer teaching, if desired.

A Ph.D. in Communication or a closely related discipline is required. ABD candidates with an expected completion date by August 2026 will be considered. A record of outstanding teaching and a commitment to graduate education are required. We are interested in candidates who teach using innovative approaches, high impact practices, incorporate a global perspective, and emphasize access and diversity in the classroom.

Minimum Qualifications and Education:
  • Ph.D. in Communication or a closely related discipline required.
    • ABD candidates with an expected completion date by August 2026 will be considered.
  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
