The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Type Part-Time
Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Staff Physician provides comprehensive urgent care/primary care to Boston University students within Student Health Services. The clinical hours will be set at 30 hours per week for 9 months of the year (September through May). If the applicant has a Certificate of CAQ in sports medicine, then a role as a sports team physician with a 4 hour clinical session seeing athletes in the Athletic Training Room Clinic would be entertained.
Communication & Relationships:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams within privacy standards.
- Collaborate across university departments and community specialists to ensure coordinated care.
- Model collegiality, cultural competence, and commitment to high-quality care.
Required Skills Required Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited institution with completion of a primary care residency.
- Board certified in a primary care specialty.
- Licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts by start date.
- Unrestricted Massachusetts Controlled Substance Certificate and DEA license by start date.
Preferred Qualifications: -
- 3 or more years of experience.
- CAQ in Sports Medicine.
